In today's episode, narrated by Agnes Fogg, we see the start of the broadcast morning on station WOOF, 710 am (J.W. Kennedy Broadcasting, Inc.). The broadcast morning certainly takes a very interesting turn, not long after Jinx, of Tex and Jinx, talks to Gustav Scheisskampf.
I've messed about slightly with timelines here. Jinx Falkenburg and Tex McCary (seen in thumbnail) were real personages, who really did have a morning radio show (on WNBC-AM), but in the 1940s. Their show was the subject of a blistering parody by Fred Allen and Tallulah Bankhead (see: https://tralfaz.blogspot.com/2016/1.....-fred-and.html ). Jinx Falkenburg, after being one of the first Miss Rheingolds, had a brief career at Columbia Pictures. 710 AM was, and is, the frequency of WOR-AM in New York.
And of course we see some familiar muzzles in the audience...
