This almost makes me want to play a sonic game. Of course I'd have to get the genesis set up. I'm not crazy enough to play a newer sonic game.

My Genesis is so broken that i have to emulate them in my PC. the adventure ones are not that bad.

I don't really have a dreamcast to do sonic adventure one. but I couldn't stand everything after. It was like they assumed the fans liked more characters and decided to go with it.

i like your usual style too (from a nonsexual standpoint talking about sexual art :P)
but to be perfectly honest with a character like sonic especially, whos normally done in bright blue colors (even when being drawn ina serious notion)
the darker shading and more realistic muscle tone fits surprisingly well
It isnt your typical "This cool artist is drawing mobian style"
its "Peritian is drawing sonic...."

Awesome! The light streaks are a terrific effect, especially coming from the eyes. Although, I'm not sure why the light streaks from the eyes are going in an opposite direction from the rest. Is that to simulate a quick stop or a sharp turn or something like that?

the only thing that got me were how the eyes' glow was tracing a very strange direction, not impossible though. It just confused me with the motion of the character.

Some nice smooth glowing and movement effects on this one. I particularly like the customised take on the costume features. My only criticism is that the upper part of his nearest arm looks a little off. I get what you were going for, adding some extra definition to the character's physique, but it looks a little overdone. Finally, the background of darkness is a nice touch, it really adds to the isolated atmosphere to the piece.

Overall, a great drawing. Well done. :)

Oh wow, the movement in his shoes and hands is so gorgeous. I can never seem to get that effect right... Every time I do it, it only ends up crummy-blurry. lol But I must say... Not sure if I can afford CS4, but I need the new effects. There are different types of blur effects in my Photoshop, but I'm not sure how to isolate it to small sections like you do. ^^;

Yeah, I mean contrary to what everyone says about Sonic '06 I thought the game was pretty fun. It was glitchy as hell in some parts but it was fun.
Best of all it didn't have Big the Cat.

Wow! Impressive detail to sonic's anatomy! You stay true to his official thin and wirey look yet add some more realistic skeletal and muscle definition to his arms torso and chest. The only problem I see is his legs don't have the same attention to detail as the rest of his body.
