A young man becomes the next patient of the eccentric Dr. Lupus. His affliction? His humanity. The cure? Turning him into a husky :3
My first TF writing work, so I made it something simple. Hope y'all enjoy :D
(I love hearing comments about what you think btw. Critique and praise are both equally appreciated.)
Here's the story in full if you don't want to download the file:
A young caucasian man with black hair, about in his mid-twenties, was lying unconscious on a metal bench in the middle of a dimly lit room. He was wearing blue jeans and a white long-sleeved t-shirt bearing a logo of a red skier in front of some blue mountains. Above the logo, the shirt read “Ski British Columbia” in big letters. Hanging above the man was a small mirror where he could see his reflection. The room looked like some sort of hospital room or science lad. There were a variety of beakers on a nearby table, medical equipment like a scale and heart monitor, and a few cardboard boxes reading “PetCo Dog Treats” scattered about.
The man awoke to the sound of a voice. “You know Geoffrey, I really never liked people all that much. They can be so loud, annoying, demanding… Though I guess you could say the same thing about some dogs huh?”
“Ughhh...” the man on the table groaned from grogginess as he instinctively tried to put a hand to his head. But he quickly found that he couldn’t move his hands at all. Or any of his limbs for that matter. The mirror hanging above him showed that each of his limbs, his chest, and neck were pinned down by metal restraints firmly attached to each corner of the table.
The voice kept talking. “But at least dogs are much more bearable than people. They’re very easy to please, always do their best to please you, and are just oh so absolutely wonderful to give pets to with all that fluffy fur!”
Geoffrey grunted as he tried to struggle against the restraints. The mysterious voice’s owner quickly took notice of his struggle.
“Oh, you’re awake finally! I was getting tired of talking to an unconscious body.”
Geoffrey began stuttering in confusion as he heard footsteps walking towards him. “Wha…? Where…? Where am I? Why am I-”
The voice quickly interrupted him. “You know, that is a very good question, Geoffrey. Why are any of us here? I’m scarcely sure myself. But I’m not a professor of philosophy after all. I’m a professor of genetics, biochemistry, physiology, and a few other biology related things.”
The voice’s owner approached the table and hovered over Geoffrey. “I go by many names, but for today you may call Dr. Lupus. Pleased to make your acquaintance Geoffrey.”
Dr. Lupus was a bald caucasian man with circular glasses and a blonde triangular goatee. He appeared to be only about in his thirties or forties, but had this giddy, child-like smirk on his face.
“Doctor? How…? How do you know my name?” Geoffrey asked.
“Oh, I just looked at your driver’s license when I kidnapped you. Nothing that unusual, I do it every week nowadays.”
“Kid… Kidnapping?” Geoffrey stammered as his eyes went wide in realization. “Holy shit. I’ve been kidnapped!?”
“Oh this is great!” Dr. Lupus exclaimed as he shone a flashlight into both of Geoffrey’s eyes, testing his reactivity. “You’re regaining your senses much faster than I expected. Honestly, I expected the drugs to last a lot longer. High metabolism you have there. It’ll make this whole process a lot easier!”
“What the hell is wrong with you!? Let me out of here!!!” Geoffrey started yelling at the top of his lungs and struggled even harder against the cold steel restraints.
“Oh hush it’ll be over soon. Nobody can hear you yell down here, so save your breath.” Dr. Lupus walked away from Geoffrey towards a nearby table that held a few colorful syringes on some stands. He looked between a few of them, considering which one he should choose. The doctor picked up one with a grey and white speckled fluid inside. He then removed the safety cap on it with his teeth, spit it out into a nearby trash bin, and started walking back to Geoffrey. Dr. Lupus flicked the side of the syringe a few times to settle its contents. He stared at Geoffrey with a manic smile. “You’ll definitely need it.”
“What the hell is that?!” Geoffrey exclaimed in fear as soon as he saw the needle.
“It’s a syringe.” Dr. Lupus said plainly. “I’m going to inject you with it. Where do you prefer it?”
“In your ass!” Geoffrey yelled.
“I like your spirit kiddo. It’ll serve you well once we’re done here,” Dr. Lupus replied nonchalantly as he sat down in a chair beside his patient. “Ya know though, I can’t really inject it into your butt the way you are positioned now...” The doctor’s voice trailed off as he stroked his goatee in deliberation.
“Oh well, if you don’t have any bright ideas, I’ll just do the tried and true.” Dr. Lupus quickly pulled back Geoffrey’s left sleeve and started injecting the grey and white speckled fluid straight into his upper arm.
“AHHHHHH!!!” Geoffrey yelled in panic as he tried to fight against the restraints.
“Oh relax, it's just a needle. Have you never gone to the doctor’s office before? The great thing about this concoction is that it’ll work no matter where you inject it.” As soon as all of the contents of the syringe were emptied into Geoffrey’s arm, Dr. Lupus withdrew the needle. “See! That wasn’t so bad now was it?”
“You’re sick!” Geoffrey blurted out as the doctor threw the empty syringe into a nearby trash bin.
“I can assure you that as a doctor, that neither of us are sick.” The doctor quietly chuckled to himself for a moment. “Though if I had to pick one of us to be the sick one, I’d definitely have to pick you! I’m curing you of your humanity after all!” Dr. Lupus let out a hearty laugh.
“My humanity?!” Geoffrey questioned. “What the heck did you just inject me with?”
Dr. Lupus stopped laughing and once again gave his signature manic smile. “You’re about to find out.”
Suddenly, Geoffrey let out a gasp as an unusual sensation washed over his body. His muscles tensed, breathing quickened, heart rate rose, and goosebumps covered his skin as sweat began to drench his clothes.
“What… Hah… Hah... What’s happening to me!?” Geoffrey cried out between bated breaths.
“Gosh, you’re already freaking out?” Dr. Lupus asked disappointedly with a shake of his head. “The changes have barely even started yet! Look, I’ll release your arm shackles so you can get a better idea of what’s going on more closely m’kay?”
The doctor walked over to a nearby control panel and pressed a button. Both of the latches pinning Geoffrey’s arms opened with a *click*. With his arms now free, he desperately tried to pull at the metal latch that was pinning his neck down. However, it was then that he noticed the changes.
Geoffrey stared in awe as his hands slowly began morphing into paws. The fingers on both of his hands shortened and widened into stubs, with the exception of his thumb which retracted entirely into his hand. Both of his hands and arms followed suit and began to shrink. Small black bumps formed on the palms of his hands, giving him paw pads. His human nails retracted into his half-formed paw before being replaced by a new set of dog nails that grew in. He felt an itchy feeling where new patches of white fur sprouted on and around his new paws. The growth of fur slowly began travelling down his arm as his hands finished transforming into paws.
“Pa… Pa… Paws?!” Geoffrey stammered as he tried to touch his new paws to one another, testing to see if this was actually real.
“Yes Geoffrey,” Dr. Lupus said plainly with a roll of his eyes. “Paws. You’re turning into a dog.”
“A dog!?” Geoffrey gasped as he watched white fur sprout from the goosebumps on his skin, travelling slowly up his arm. It left a slight ticklish feeling where it continued to spread. He brushed the newly grown fur around where his wrist used to be, testing its texture. It actually felt kinda nice. Was it… Was it okay for him to enjoy this?
Geoffrey considered his situation for a second. He really didn’t appreciate being kidnapped, but being turned into a dog sounded like a fun experience. He always loved dogs and animals in general. Maybe he wasn’t kidnapped, he’d be more on board with it.
“Honestly, if I had a nickel for every person that had the same exact reaction as you, I’d be able to buy another small box of dog treats.”
“Every person?” Geoffrey questioned with a grunt as he dealt with the exhaustion from his tensed muscles. “How many people have you done this to?”
“Hmmm, I don’t usually keep a record of these things. But I’d say around a few hundred.”
“A few hundred!?”
“Yeah, I’d be surprised too. I really should be keeping records of this stuff. In fact...” The doctor cackled to himself for a moment. “I’m on the FBI most wanted list right now for kidnapping so many people and turning them into animals. Hopefully they have a comprehensive record I could take a look at later.” He let out a snort. “I don’t even think they know I’m turning people into animals.”
The fur continued climbing up Geoffrey’s arms and eventually reached his shoulder. His arms started to become skinnier, reforming themselves into dog legs. He couldn’t turn his head properly to watch as the fur reached his neck, so he had to use the mirror hanging above him to observe the changes. The room they were in was very cold, so the extra fur was much appreciated.
Dr. Lupus looked up and stroked his goatee as if trying to remember something. “Though after I turned that one person into a dinosaur last month, they might have figured it out by now. Utahraptors aren’t very inconspicuous after all.” The doctor shrugged. “Eh, any publicity is good publicity though, gets me more sponsors for my work. Apparently some suspiciously rich blokes just wanna see a bunch of random people turn into animals. Quite relatable frankly.”
Geoffrey gasped as he saw the fur finally reach his face. “Oh woah...”
Dr. Lupus rubbed his hands together excitedly. “Ooo this is the fun part!”
His eyes slowly changed from an emerald green to an icy blue as his vision blurred slightly. His hair began to shorten and turn white, becoming denser as new strands of fur grew in and replaced his hair. The ears on the sides of his head started to pull themselves inwards, disappearing completely as fur covered where they once were. Black fur started spreading on the crown of his head while the rest of his face was covered with white fur. Two new fluffy triangular ears sprouted on the top of his head. They were white with a black furry rim. Geoffrey touched them with his paws to see if they were actually real. He recoiled back once he touched them, amazed that he could actually *feel* them.
Suddenly, his cheeks started to open up at his lips as his jaw widened and stretched forward into a muzzle. Geoffrey covered his snout with his paws as it stretched outwards and a black nose grew on the tip. He could feel his tongue stretch longer and his teeth sharpen. As this happened, he felt something shift inside his neck.
It wasn’t long before Geoffrey was staring back at the reflection of a siberian husky.
“Oh goodness you are already so cute!” Dr. Lupus exclaimed. “You have such a boopable snoot that I just cannot resist!” The doctor gently leaned forwards and lightly tapped Geoffrey on the nose. “Boop!”
Geoffrey tried to voice his complaints, but all that came out was a disgruntled bark, “Grruff!!!”
Geoffrey drew in a sharp breath, surprised at the sound he made. He tried to talk again. “Ruff?” Geoffrey drew in another sharp breath, realizing that he couldn’t talk anymore.
“Oh great!” Dr. Lupus exclaimed. “Your vocal chords have already changed completely! You’re such an excellent subject you know! In fact, with such a cute face like that, I’m sure you’ll get adopted quickly!”
“Gruff?!” Geoffrey let out a confused bark.
“Oh, I forgot to explain,” Dr. Lupus said. “So as it turns out, turning people into animals is a really expensive process. Sponsorship money is a good source of income, though it helps to have a little extra for my more… ambitious projects.” The doctor paused for dramatic effect. “So I’ve figured out that hey, why not turn people into dogs and then sell them to pet stores! I get money from my sponsors for turning people into dogs, and then a little extra from pet stores. Plus, it's an easy way for me to guarantee that everyone I turn into a dog finds a nice home! Then with that money, I can turn more people into dogs! It’s a win-win-win scenario!”
Geoffrey pulled up his shirt with his paws, upon noticing the ticklish feeling of fur growing down his chest. In the reflection in the mirror above him, he could see the fur crawl past his pecs, then his upper abs, then his lower abs. He felt his insides shifting as this happened, the organs in his chest rearranging to better fit his new form. He looked so fluffy all over. It left a smile on his doggy face.
“Ooohhh I knew you’d like it eventually! Everyone usually does in the end. But man you’re gonna be so cute! It’s probably a bit cramped being tied up like that, so I think I’ll let you loose while you finish up.” The doctor walked to the table’s control panel and pressed a button. In a series of clicks, each metal restraint opened one after the other.
Geoffrey lifted his head up as it wasn’t restrained any longer. Upon seeing that all of the restraints were open, he panicked and scampered off of the metal table, but was much weaker than he had expected.
Geoffrey yelped as he fell to the floor. Luckily there was a cushion placed directly underneath where he fell, softening his fall.
“I knew it was a good idea to put cushions underneath the table!” Dr. Lupus exclaimed. “Everytime I release the restraints, my subjects always try to jump off the table and accidentally hurt themselves. Sure, the wounds heal quickly because of the transformation process, but an injury makes the whole process take a few minutes longer. Plus, I think it's nice to make the process as painless as possible. I’m not evil or anything ya know. I just really like turning people into animals.”
The doctor paused in thought for a moment before smiling. “Okay, I suppose I’m a little evil. I did kidnap you against your will after all. But I do have some morals at least!”
He tried to rub his chest with his paws, feeling out his new coat of fur. It was very pleasant. It was then that he finally realized that he was certainly liking this. Geoffrey then rolled over and tried to stand up, but barely found the strength to do so.
“I’m glad that this new concoction is working so well! It uses a virus that turns the human DNA in your cells into dog DNA. Normally I’d just have a crew of pre-programmed biodegradable nanobots that would work on morphing your body for you. But I figured out a new genome for the virus that tricks the body’s own cells into turning you into a dog! So now it’s much faster, with the minor side effect of muscle weakness. All your cells are 100% focused on turning you into a dog now after all.”
Geoffrey turned his head as he felt a bit of pressure building up at his rump. As soon as he did, *RRRRRIIIP!!!* He yelped in surprise as his jeans ripped open and a white tail suddenly grew from his tailbone.
“The tail burst is always my favorite part!” Dr. Lupus exclaimed. “You know though, I’ve actually turned myself into other animals a few times. Though as it turns out, turning other people into animals is pretty hard when you are an animal yourself. So I had to unfortunately turn myself back. Such a shame.”
Geoffrey watched as he wagged his new tail. It was a novel feeling, having a new appendage that he could manipulate. It made him… happy in a way he never felt before. He watched as the fur crawled down his legs, eventually overtaking his feet and turning them into paws. He grew slightly smaller, his bones, organs, skin, making the last few changes until he was finally done. Geoffrey was now an adolescent siberian husky in every way, though still with a slightly stretched shit covering his body. He felt exhausted from the whole transformation process, it was a complete drain on his body. His eyes started to slowly close shut and his legs buckled before he began to fall asleep.
“Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing,” Dr. Lupus said. “I’ll make sure you’re all taken care of when you wake up! Just rest now and I can teach you later how to be a dog. I was one for a few weeks after all. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! It’s such a fun time!”

Sorry for being a week late to reply XwX
I'll see if I can get Dr. Lupus to do that for you. Might be a little hard though. Last I heard he "accidentally" turned 30 people at a ski resort into penguins. The government is a little hot on his heels, so he might have to lie low for a lil' bit XD
