As Lyra was entering the flat, I had rarely felt so uncomfortable in my life and didn't know what to say. I was remembering how we got there, and why for the first time I'd have to host a friend.

About maybe 1 year ago, which feels like an eternity, I met here while playing some multiplayer game. We happened to be in the same team once, had some nice co-op action, then chatted a little after the game. After that, we started to play together more often, then we were playing almost exclusively together.

It was the first time I'd felt so close with someone I had never met in real life, we were close friends, even though she didn't live insanely far away we never met for real.

But one day I felt something was wrong, she ended up telling me she had lost her study grant and would have to stop renting her flat. Not knowing where she'd live or how she would be able to finish her studies to get her business degree. The always confident Lyra never felt so worried about her future.

I felt very moved by this, and I wanted to help. The only thing I could offer was to share my flat with her for few months, giving her a place to live until she could get her diploma.

And here we are, face to face, both feeling very uncomfortable because of this situation. It's probably best not to mull over it too much, I should invite her to see the flat and find a spot for her baggage until we can organise ourselves.
