I love the sense of scale in this one. You really showed how big those feet are!
Also, as far as the hair and eyes go, you could always do it like a cartoon and split it 50/50. Hair could covering the face for more neutral expressions, but when it's something more exclamatory or outrageous, you could pull it back reveal the face/eyes.
