Jonas O'Rion, now barely able to stand up on his new footpaws, looks at himself in grief. He was no longer human. He was a mutant freak! He barely notices as the intercom calls him by the name of "Mutant Number 59".

He is being used as a sacrifice. An arcane ritual requires the souls and blood of 60 individual animal people of various species in a specially drawn circle. By doing this, this conjures the Glyph of Naturalization. Time itself will move backwards, the earth restored to a healthy state where there are no buildings, no technology, no horrors of machinery around. Everything that has caused the Earth fall sick will disappear...perhaps even the humans themselves. But that's not the concern for this third party group. They intend to use the glyph to further mankind's advancement as a people, giving them everything they need to fly to the stars.
