I've had some tweaks to my design in mind for a while, and when  gandere announced that he was taking commissions, I knew his style was just what I was looking for!

Valachko The Golden Bat

Val is a California Leaf-Nosed Bat, with red-violet eyes and thick, fluffy, golden fur on his head and torso. He's short and chubby, standing about four feet tall, give or take, with a long torso, short legs, and a round tummy. His arms are bat wings, and unfurred, with the wing-fingers sweeping down from his hand and wrist. His legs are also unfurred, with plantigrade that have long, prehensile toes. He has a longish snout ending in a graceful, handsome leaf-nose, and very large ears that add at least another head to his height.

The unfurred parts of his body (arms/wings, legs, nose, inner ears) are covered in dark brown skin. Think Butterscotch and Gingerbread, which are, coincidentally, two of his favorite flavors.

Val can be found in clothing from a wide range of eras, from ancient times to the far-flung future, but he usually defaults to "Steampunk Shire:" quasi-Victorian garb similar to what the Hobbits wear in the Lord of the Rings movies.
