This is a story that me and
imaperson001 worked on for days. It's about how Arthur, who was human once, turned into the classic husky that his fans adore.

Just one day after another, it was a normal day. Arthur, a human wearing a nice black and white suit with a bow tie and stirrups, was finishing up a show that he was hired to do on television. The show was about a human who was funny and goofy, making jokes and doing cartoony acts. It all felt good to be on the show, but with only one problem. The director of the cartoon show is planning to hire someone in an animal costume, most likely a canine or feline, to take his place because he believes people would love an animal character as the star of the show. This made Arthur worried very much. Being an actor is all he loved to be and there wasn’t an act he could do for another show. So it was bad news to even know about this disaster. In his dressing room, he sits on his chair, looking at himself with sadness. “Oh man, why can’t I just stay on the show longer?” He says with a deep sigh. Arthur didn’t have any plans or a way to stop it at the moment, so he hoped that the director would change his mind or something.
He stared at the mirror thinking of all the possible things he could change in his acts, hoping that at least one of them would stick or would be better than the usual stuff he performed. Maybe if he talked to the audience more? No, he couldn’t, it’s a sitcom not a pantomime! What if he..? Nope. Scrap after scrap after scrap, he ripped out pages from his notebook of ideas. He’d just about given up at this point. Out with the old and in with the new; cartoons were popping up everywhere as the dominant entertainment and it didn’t look like they were gonna get less popular. He placed his head firmly on his hands, completely wrecked with the thoughts of cancellation.
As time goes on, Arthur still sits there in his chair. He was beginning to think that quitting the show would be the best thing for him. So he gets up from his chair and walks out of the room. Exiting the room, he plans to just go home for the day. He went through the studio’s doors and to his car. But as soon as he unlocked the doors, he felt this sting right behind his back. “Ouch!” He lets out, getting him to put whatever shot him out of his back. In his hand was a dart, one that looked like it contained something inside. He jerks his head behind him, trying to find out who shot him. When he couldn’t find anyone, he put the dart in his pocket for further examination. In his car, he turns on the ignition and drives out the parking zone.He still worries about his job and yet is mostly scared about the dart that shot him in the back.
Arthur woke up the next day, his eyes particularly itchy. He stood up, stretched, and yawned, then looked outside, continuing to scratch his eyes. It was a dreary day; practically no blue from the sky with streaks of light coming through from cars. He continued to scratch.
“Goddamn allergies!” He yelped. “I better go check it out, it must be swollen real bad.” Arthur scratches more and more, annoying him so much that he felt like he was gonna rip his eyeballs out. He goes to the bathroom, trying to figure out why it itches so badly. He looks in the mirror, only to be terrified about what the deal was. His pupils weren't normal. They were the same color, but different shapes. It looked like a pie but with a slice missing, from both eyes. “What the!?” He says shockingly. “Is this real!?” Again, he scratches his eyes as they were still itchy. There must be a reason for his eyes to change differently. He goes back to his bedroom and grabs his phone, dialing a number and calling his doctor for a schedule to check out the issue with his eyes.
“I can’t go in with these!” He searched his room for some sort of remedy to no avail. All he could find were some old sunglasses. “Well, it’s better than nothing…” He decided to get dressed in his show clothes (the classic bowtie, buttoned shirt, and suspenders) before heading out to his car and driving into the studio. He’d have to tell someone about his eyes, otherwise, everyone would ask about the glasses. He just had to be careful who he told.
At the studio, Arthur parks his car in the same spot as yesterday and gets out. He puts on the sunglasses before heading inside. The security guard there was at the front door. Luckily, he only needed to show his ID and that’s it. Once inside, he quickly avoids everyone in the studio and enters his dressing room where he takes off his glasses. He sighs in relief and sits lazily on the chair. At that time, he still felt even weird. Maybe even a bit sick. While sitting there, he felt something move underneath his butt. “Ugh, what is that?” He stands up sluggishly and turns around. He watches as some strange worm-like shape grows under his butt. “Huh?!” Adjusting his pants a little, a tail that’s black and white pops out. It scared him so much that he let out a short screech. “I have a tail?!” He said, seeing it wag side to side. Arthur quickly puts the tail back into his pants, hiding it while questioning what was happening to him. Was he turning into some kind of canine? Hopefully no one finds out about this. “R-relax, Arth! Just… shove it in your pants, no one will see it!” He told himself in fear. He sat back down, practically panting, before a knock on his door made him jump. He fumbled for his glasses before shoving them on his face. “C-come in!” In came a P.A…
“Heya, Arthur? You’re on in five.” Arth gulped. He walked towards the stage in fear, shaking in all directions. This was not good. He starts sweating nervously, afraid that they’ll call the cops or the FBI for this. On the other hand, maybe they’ll think it’s some sort of costume. So basically a fifty-fifty chance that everything is going to be good. On the stage, he stands there with sweat all over his face. The director sits on his chair with his no emotion reaction as he starts counting down with his fingers. But before he could go to one, he stood up for no reason.
“Stop the cameras!” He shouts with force. The camera crew shuts off the cameras in confusion. “Arthur…..” For some reason, he was pale. It was like he had just seen a couple of ghosts dancing on stage randomly. “Are those dog ears on your head?” He asks, making Arthur slowly put his hand on his head. He could feel the soft fluffy dog ears on his head which turned his face red. It was so embarrassing for him that he felt like running off the stage. Arthur sweats even more, from both getting so hot and being scared of what might happen next. “Are you okay? You’re sweating so much?” He asks, assuming that Arthur had some infection going on.
“No! No! I’m fine!” He denies his sickness. “I want to go on with the show, so please turn on the- ACK!” He got this painful attack coming from inside his own body. It was like something inside him wanted to break free. The others took a couple of steps away from the actor as he put his arms on his belly. “What…..Ngh!....my-my hands!” He witnesses his own human hands transforming into paws with claws, toe beans, and fur. Speaking of the fur, he could feel his clothes getting tighter on him. He unbuttons his shirt and white and black fur fluffed out, a lot of it. His shoes were getting smaller on him when his dog-like toes started bursting out. More fur crawls up his legs and covers his entire body. His face grew forwards into a snout with even more fur going around. His teeth grew sharper and his human ears disappeared from the sides of his head. All that was happening around him, had transformed him into a fluffy husky anthro. Since there was no use hiding it, he lets his tail out and wags it slowly while whining like a dog. “Oh dear, I’m…..a dog!” He whines even louder and his ears droop.
The director couldn’t believe his own eyes about what he had just witnessed. His star of the show transformed into an anthro talking husky with a tail, ears and fur all around him. At first, he was speechless to describe his feelings for this, but his confidence and amazement was all that he needed to talk. “Incredible! It’s…...spectacular!” He then starts clapping like he just finished watching a play. “Arthur, you have helped me!”
“I…..have?” Arthur was so confused at the moment. He thought that he was dead meat.
“Yes! Think of the waste of time and money trying to find some pristine animal costume and an actor!” He walks up to Arthur, shaking his paw with joy.
“Does this mean I can keep my job?” The husky asks.
“Yes, yes! You can keep your job!” The director then turns around at the crew. “Give this husky some new clothes! We got a show to pitch!”
Like a dog, he pants and his tail wags happily. He couldn’t believe something like this just saved his career. It was a miracle. “Oh thank you so much!” He was so excited that he couldn’t help but to hug the director. But then stopped when the director slowly gets Arthur off of him. “S-sorry. Got carried away.” After that stunt, the crew takes Arthur back into his dressing room so he could change into a much larger outfit so his fur doesn’t make him feel uncomfortable. Once he was changed, he came back on the set. His face was full of positivity and confidence as he was ready once again to become the star of the show.
