Ok your doing better with paragraph structure but now let's look at the sentence building. :)

"Understanding dawns in his eyes as he emits a long syllable and nods. Rubbing his chin with a hand, obviously trying to figure out how to explain something to her. He makes a snapping sound with his fingers and points to a small signal lamp as he jabbers a series of words in his native language."

Its hard to say alot in the least amount of words. I prefer short sharp and descriptive sentenses. I'll redo this paragraph in my style of writing for you.

A guttural tone emitted from his mouth while decerning a method of simplistic explanation. A few moments passed and a couple rubs on the chin was all he needed to formulate an answer. With a snap of the fingers, he points to a signal lamp and mutters a few words in his native language.

Try to get as much meaning with the least amount of words. It's even hard for me todo at times. ^_^

Nods, that was one of the paragraphs that bothered me. It reads odd even to me and I wrote it *chuckles*
