I'm curious about the craft that were mentioned to be in the asteroid belts. There's been no mention or hints (that I can detect, anyway) about the Rathac having an active space program of their own. Maybe a previous civilisation before the Rathac, another set of aliens, or even the secret experimentations of some Rathac scientists who have been pushing the lodestones to their limits to see if they can send something beyond their own atmosphere? *ponders*

there was a note of them in the first chapter, the 'Black Skyships'. They wouldn't necessarily call them spaceships after all. There will be more mention of them later when they get into the discussions of each others technology.
