...I never though I could feel this free-ee-eeee! XD
Funny thing about the BL rings- they tend to have a little bit of a mind of their own. The ring's tendancy to project visions of the hopes and dreams of anyone who happens by, WITHOUT permission, is a little concerning- But, you know, I MAY need to stop thinking about flying when I doze off. Hmmm, what happened to the REST of my walkman here?
Been a while since I messed w/ my Blue Lantern design. -I reeeeally need to find a better way to draw sky tho. Bonus points if you know what show i was watching while sketching this. ^.^

Man, I've not seen Greatest American Hero in ages. Just was thinking about it recently when one of the actors from it died and they were showing snippets from some of the many maaaany shows/movies he'd been in.
A very nice set of wings, even if I do think anyone flying that high up should have an emergency pair of inflatable pants, just in case.

Unfortunately so. Not your age, you! The actor Robert Culp (agent Bill Maxwell) died back in March.

Depends on what power ring I got! Red? I'd probably gag a lot, to tell the truth. And brush my teeth repeatedly. White? I'd go around having nonsensical powers and confusing the heck out of everyone. Yellow? Could be... disturbing.

awwwwwwww... *pouts*
I didn't realize Red was an option for you. Tho I gotta admit, their outfits ARE stylish. X3 And yeah, I've seen Total Recall enough times to know we DON'T wanna combine inflation and fear. *shivers* Indigo, maybe? But I tend default to Compassion when none of the others seem to work. :p

Red? You bet! Clearly you've never been with me while I was driving about town. Road Rage is a lifestyle.
Oh, I'd be the subtle yellow type; all them other wusses go for the immediate fright. Me, I'd amp things up slooowly and get into folks heads first. Aaand then get kicked outta the Fear Club House, of course.
In all honesty, I'd probably get stuck with the same ring that G'nort had.

oh, so you're a NORMAL driver, eh? *shudders* >.>
-wow, now that you mention it, I could TOTALY see a Red Lantern going nuts in a ring-constructed car.
Subtle- like that Sentient Virus on the Yellow corp? Oh, and you'd have to compete w/ that baby-snatcher yellow lantern as far as inciting fear... Sheesh, what i piece of work SHE was. Xp

THAT'S what happened??? O.o From all the prophesies, I'd assumed all those children were going to be inducted into the Yellow Lantern Corp- Enabling lethal force won't do much good when they send all the 'children' you failed to protect, to kill you. But i guess the artist just can't do proportions, so all that imagery totally meant nothing.
-Stopped reading GL Corp cause I just got frustrated w/ the writing. I mean- they had SOO much lined up, and then didn't DO anything! Heck, the whole Kyle/Guy teamup should have been BRILLIANT! Like the Odd Couple w/ superpowers! And I have YET to see Guy's sportsbar on Oa in full swing. Don't even know if those cooks figured out what Ketchup is yet!
Okay- the storyarc with Kyle's mural WAS one of the most touching scenes in comic history. -but then they wrapped it up w/ a foreshadowing to Blackest Night. :p
MAN, I need to stop ranting....

Yeah- and they DO have some epic ideas- but their pace really feels off.
I mean- i paged thru a 'Worlds Finest' storyarc, where Batman and Superman tried getting rid of all the Kryptonite on earth, and it ended with the US developing K-weapons AND a Doomsday Clone infused w/ Kryptonite bones got let loose in Smallville! But they jammed that ALL into one issue! So I was like, 'hey, this is kinda epi-Oh, it's over already.' >.<
And even w/ Geoff Johns writing the GL storyline... (guy who wrote GL: Rebirth) They had all that great foreshadowing leading up to the War of Light: The Sinestro War, The Star Sapphires trying to take control of the war by creating a Corp, the creation of the Blue Lanterns by Gathet and Syd, the Red Lanterns being born of all the suffering the Sinestro war caused and being connected to the Death of Abin Sur AND the genocidal rebellion of the manhunters, and BAM!
That all gets cut short by the Blackest Night before the war of light even BEGINS!! Indigo didn't even show up until AFTER those zombies.
I still don't get, how if Black Lanterns feed off emotion, the rings that RUN off of emotion are their only weakness. >.< I foolishly assumed they were gonna be like ANTI-lanterns or something- and would be impervious to power rings. *shrugs*

Exactly. It's the epic "cram down" problem. They have this set of concepts they want to run with, but everything has to be wrapped up with a neat bow in two weeks for the next writers' big event.
It doesn't help that DC really has a hard time with an overall moral tone. In one comic crime doesn't pay, in another it's clearly the overall winner and no questions will be asked. Case in point, the recent "War of the Supermen." Earth and Lex Luthor came out looking just awful from that; sure the kryptonians were dicks, but who ended up committing genocide against the last remnants of an ancient race that had the audacity to survive their exploding homeworld? I dunno about you, but if I were an alien in the DC universe I wouldn't be too far off base in assuming every human was a mass murdering xenophobe out to eradicate me and mine while taking everything I ever owned for themselves.
I dunno, might have to give up on DC for a bit until they get things sorted out. Already have done so with Marvel, since I think the guy in charge there is a bit of a lunatic and causing some terribly incoherent stories to come out.
Then again, it's hard to pass up 'alternate' universes like this!

Giant-girl is awesome, and I loves me some Goom.
And there are series that 'time travel' back to when DC was cool and had folks like Big Barda and MiracleMan running about.

Dragons? Whatever.
