So I needed to try to feed my cat pumpkin puree as recommended by the vet, but he has no interest in the pumpkin so I was left with an open can of pumpkin.
So I threw together some of what I had to make some very basic pumpkin soup.

Recipe:
1 can pumpkin puree
2 cups salted chicken broth
1/2 Cup half and half
1 Tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 Tsp basil
1/4 cups brown sugar
Pepper to taste

1. Just stir it all in a pot and simmer it up for a good 5-10 minutes and it's ready to go!

Thoughts: Well, it's creamy pumpkin soup. It does its job just fine. It'd be really good with potatoes if I were to make it again. I think it's tasty, as someone who really loves pumpkin. The brown sugar adds just a little sweetness but not too much, so it's a nice balance of savory and sweet.
