Rath had just seen off the last student of his class when an unexpected visitor showed up at the entrance to his dojo. It wasn't unusual to the dragon -- if anything, fighters showing up unannounced in order to challenge him were as regular an occurrence as the sun setting at the end of the day.
What was somewhat unusual, however, was who showed up: an eastern dragon with flowing white hair, peach-colored scales, and a physique that was as insanely sculpted as Rath's own, with his worn-out gi doing little to hide it. The martial arts instructor recognized him as a member of a clan where each generation birthed a natural healer and a karate master to serve as his bodyguard.
The verbal exchange between the two dragons was brief, the visitor introducing himself as Haru and requesting to test his mettle against a fellow master of the same martial art. Rath shedded his top, mirroring his opponent's appearance aside from the colors he wore. After bowing to each other, both fighters silently slid into their respective stances...
...and for the first time, Rath saw his challenger as more than just a way to kill time.
