Hey, remember that one drawing I did where I re-imagined Nebby into a more jagged, low-poly art style...? Well if you don't, here it is: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42955118/
That was drawn back when I was wondering if I should completely overhaul my art style, and while I enjoy the drawing as it's own thing, it won't be part of my style going forward. That being said, I still wanted to expand on the idea.
I wanted to interpret Nebby's entire body in that style, and just after I finished drawing it with my standard pastel scheme, I suddenly got a last minute idea to use neon colours instead, as I think loud, bold colours would help compliment the messy, unruly jagged design. To be fair, I've never used or experimented with neon colours before, so I'm not too sure if I managed to get the right effect. They look good to me, but I might be wrong, feel free to give me any advice or tips regarding how to find/use neon colours.
Even though I didn't have any plans for this style of drawing, it was a pretty fun experiment that made me flip my art style on it's head. Instead of using wavy, curvy line art with bendy posing and pastel colours, I had to find a way to do the complete opposite, by using sharp, jagged, straight line art, stiff posing, and neon colours. And the end result gives me vibes similar to the stereotypical '90's/2000's' cartoon aesthetic, along with classic, low poly video games. Beacause of this, I like to imagine this as an alternate universe version of Nebby that I'd like to nickname as 'Nebby 64'.
So yeah, overall, this was a fun experiment that made me look into the way I draw, and helped me figure out ways to go against the rules and methods I created for myself. That, and I just think it looks cool.

Really? Huh. While I think the experiment itself turned out nice, it was a bit difficult to draw, so I wasn't planning on making it my main style. But if some people prefer it, I guess it wouldn't hurt to revisit this style every once in a while. Also, thanks for the watch, man!
