Too many men pride themselves in being heterosexual -- but fail to appreciate the value of the sex they're attracted to. I want a flag that celebrates husband and wife as best friends, not just sexual orientation.

I believe men and women are equal in dignity. And I don't want any barriers that make men and women feel alienated from each other. I want nothing that compromises the sense of friendship between men and women. I want nothing to keep men from relating to women.

When I think of Shining Armor and Cadance, I don't just think of a happily-ever-after couple. I see them as an embodiment of friendship between sexes. As far as I can see, there's hardly anything one wouldn't do for the other.

Shining Armor's friendship with his big little sister, Princess Twilight, also embodies friendship between sexes -- the kind without romance.

How can I sum up friendship between sexes with one word? I don't think there is a single word that quite captures the concept. So here is my new coinage: "heteramity".
