Don't mind me, just casually dropping a character I designed a good while ago, and just now got around to inking. XD I doodled this fellow...several months ago, now, I believe, around the start of my final semester earlier this Summer. In fact, he's what kicked off an idea for another game I'd like to make; even though I've decided he'd just be an NPC. ...Or will he? I sure won't tell. XD To describe, though, I suppose I find the general "candy land" settings somewhat boring; everything is edible, and doesn't really serve much purpose besides that, which seems like a wasted opportunity. What if the sweets weren't immediately edible, but a part of everyday life? I started thinking about that, and thought to marry fantasy and candy together, to create a living, breathing world of sugar and magic all its own, and I hope I can share it with all of you! I just, need to figure out how. I suppose I can start with this big, lovable king? >/w/<

Anyways, say hello to Charles Eclair III, or Lord Eclair as he's mostly called; he rules over the kingdom of Clairont, a long-established kingdom well-versed in many a craft. Especially smithing! The hills and mountains of the region are rich in chocore, which is smelted down to create two things; the main material is used to create metal for weapons, or structures, while the gooey residue leftover is used to make sweets! What we in our world know as chocolate! Besides being a crafting city, Clairont is also the last known location to house giant blood; Lord Eclair's bloodline has had giant blood in its veins for many years, particularly of the umber breed. Umber giants were craftsmen by heart, and loved nothing more than to build, and tend to the land. Lady Dianne fell in love with a small minstrel- Lord Eclair's ancestor- and giving up her large size, the two founded the kingdom of Clairont.

Lord Eclair has always been a gentle giant, and tends to his kingdom with a deep level of affection; he views the entire kingdom as family, and does what he can to help anyone within should they have troubles. Despite his rotund shape, he's an exceptional warrior, perhaps due in part to his umber blood heritage. He can shift sizes seemingly at will, so he can wander the city, or laze around in the throne room at default size, munching on his favorite treat; giant, chocolate iced eclairs! At first glance, he might seem too easy-going, but Lord Eclair is a capable sweetheart, eager to welcome you should you desire to visit Clairont! Why not stay, and enjoy an eclair?
