The head jailer showed me around the entire royal dungeon first human prisoners and then the monsters most are just small things like trolls or imps but eventually he came to a large reinforced door. He pushed the heavy door open and let me in. In there an enormous cage stood in the middle of an even larger room. The cage had thick bars that stood surprising close to one and other like they feared something could slip through.

“Well this is your new post” the jailer explained “If you work here long enough without messing up you get to be a guard upstairs in the castle, but for now you have to guard this thing. It’s a hydra, a giant 3 headed water-snake, watch out though it’s bite can turn people into a snake, so whatever you do never go into that cage or open it alright?” he looked me firm into my eyes “yes sir” I said and saluted “Good, good, now I got other matters to attend to, have a good day” and with that he walked out of the door.

I watched the giant snake curle and slitter around in his cage always having at least one head constantly looking at me. I knew what I wanted, I don’t know why but I was always interested in people transforming into things and I really wanted to experience it. So I opened the cage door and walked in. “you foolissssh boy, you doomed yourssself walking in heeere, I will forccccee you to be my sssservant” it said in a stage whisper like voice. “No I want to serve you” “Want to? well I won’t complaaaain” it said with what looked like a smile.

The hydra opened its fanged mouth and a much smaller snake crawled out, it still was a meter long and slithered towards at me. I sat onto the ground with my back against the bars to make the snake easily get to me. It lifted its head aiming at me and bit me in the upper arm, I felt a short shot of pain before it quickly disappeared and was replaced with a warm feeling. I pulled up my sleeve to see what was happening. My skin changed into green scales coming from the bite and going towards my hand. The arm started to move more like that of a snake and no longer had an elbow as the joint but an entire spine to freely move and wriggle around. Meanwhile the snake had slithered towards my other side and bit me suddenly into my right arm and the same happened.

My fingers started to merge, safe for my thumb that widened forming my hand into a mouth a pair of fangs and a forked tongue slit out I felt it touch the cold air. As my ‘hand’ became covered with green scales 2 yellow slitted eyes emerged from the top, they stared at me, no I stared at me, suddenly I saw through 2 pairs of eyes and a few moments latter through 3 pairs as my other hand had fully turned as well.

The snake once again came up to me, it looked what I thought right into my eyes but suddenly bit me in my neck, that quickly grew 3 to 4 times its length, my head moved from side to side, the venom making me feel strange. My face elongated and most of my teeth shrunk into nothing, however some grew into hooked teeth and 2 long fangs grew from the top of my mouth. While the green scales covered my head my hear fell out and my eyes moved to the side and the pupils turned into slits turning my view wider and the room suddenly became lighter.

The snake still not satisfied with all the changes crawled up into my trousers and found its way up under my shirt and bit right into my spine, I felt the venom quickly spread through me. I lifted up my shirt to see and saw my skin quickly turning green and growing towards my hips. As it reached my legs I felt them merge with one and other and my pants ripped along the seams as they merged. Once my legs were completely merged they continued to grow several meters longer.
I slithered around the cage with ease and it felt all to natural.
“Aaah yesss my obedient sssservant” the hydra hissed out coming close to me “nooooow open the door and we can make our essscape.”
And well to say the least I wasn’t the last of my kind.
