I feel my legs at first start to spread out a bit to try and balance a bit, before instead pulling me away from the table entirely. I’m half about the complain that they clearly are trying to interfere but then find my body leaping up into the air and right onto the table. And then I sit down onto the table.

“Sorry about that,” I hear the other voice speak up in my head. “We’re getting smaller and our body isn’t really designed to stand up on two legs all that well. And considering this is I’m guessing an intentional failsafe in case we tried the gauntlet and decided to instead run away I don’t know if we’d be able complete this puzzle in time to get out in time if I had to take over one arm to keep us balanced. But get back to solving this. Unless you want to surrender the body to me.”

“What do you mean by failsafe?” I ask as I try and rush, admitting that it is much easier to get at the pieces while up here. I can also feel that I’ve started growing a second tail as I can feel both of them gripping against the table to help support us on the table.
