"It's been a year since that day, a day when the town stopped moving. However, that doesn't mean the town stopped breathing. It lives...it lives through The Darkness...it lives through me. Memories crawl through the abandoned streets and buildings as shadows, memories that should long be forgotten, and yet I cannot forget them, nor can I forgive them. It's these memories that keep me here and bind me to this place. This is my prison...my home..."


On that day when Aislinn's true darkness was released, it spread across the entire town, and through the night, it claimed every resident within, wether they were kind to her or not, and took their bodies into the shadows. Those souls were twisted there, and became the horrors that now haunt the streets when The Darkness comes.

Aislinn occassionally wanders down from the cave she lives in to search for food or other things. Even though she remains outside of the town itself, she also cannot leave it, finding herself stuck in the only home she's ever known. And whenever her sorrow takes over, her darkness blankets the streets, converting it into her own living nightmare. Once and a while, she'll sit on the ledge of the old school, and gaze out into the distance at the crumbling clock tower, listening to the haunting echo of its chime, lost in her own thoughts.

This was fun to do! I used the background from a picture I found while searching google. I couldn't find the exact type of picture I wanted, but this one fit well enough :3
