President Gerald Ford addresses the nation with the introduction of the MK-1 Macrofighter as it makes it clumsy step up onto the stage on live TV and saluted to the president. Gerald Ford talked about the ingenuity that went into the robot itself and how the "This weapon shall revolutionize the battlefield and keep our nation safe". These 1st steps of the macrofighter was the striking beginnings for the macrofighter series of autonomous weapons. Thus beginning a new chapter in the Soviet-American arms race: The Auto-Weapon arms race.
