Survival in the wilderness was tough for Sharon, especially early on, but... some days were easier than others. In this case, it's the discovery of a wild blackberry bush, still ripe with fruit and yet to be picked at by wildlife or other travelers! A good find, to be sure! Sharon moves to gather as many berries as she can carry - it may not seem like much, but at least she won't have to go to sleep on an empty stomach tonight.
...Yes, one more pic of Sharon during her "survival" years, and I just had to do something of her being "happy" for a change (well, as happy as one could be in a situation as bleak as Sharon's). This pic was also a good opportunity to show off her entire face, complete with disheveled hair, darkened eyelids, and bags under her eyes from troubled sleeping habits. I really wanted to drive home what a mess this situation has made of her early on, though I do think I made the bags under her eyes look too much like runny make-up - I also wanted to make it apparent she spent a lot of time crying during this part of her life... and this seemed like a good way to illustrate that.
Don't have a lot else to say about this one. The perspective on the face is a little off in some places, and the berry-picking hand is a bit wonky-looking too, but I thought the pic was cute enough to color and share. Hopefully, you the viewer will think so, too. I had a lot of fun drawing this one, as simple as it was.
