Finally finished this picture. Like the crazy person I am, I decided that I'd paint everything by hand again (except cloning some of the flowers and leaves around.) Why did I want to make such a psychotically bright image with flowers everywhere? I know, to break up all the black and space I've been drawing as of late. And to do something human except well, this is Verdue and she is my Nature/Plant/Flora Force goddess "person"... who can transform into a super ugly pixie and any plant ever conceived. And despite what her position implies, she's an utter biotch. Doesn't smile, and threatens every other Force in her vicinity. She'll show up in book 2 of the Aon/Forces/Fatality series, if the publisher ever lets me publish it.
So yeah, mostly drawing a pretty, and taking forever to do it. Hope this counts as colorful enough, but why do I do this to myself and paint flowers? I hate painting these! Okay, and buildings. Don't make me painting buildings. Anyway, took a very long while to do, because of course it did, and required a pile load of reference. But I'm pleased with the obnoxiously bright results.
Now if anyone compares her to Pocahontas, first of all, have a slap. Second, she's Mayan. Because I wanted some dang diversity in my pantheon, thanks. Also, the Animal/Fauna force is from the Congo, so I needed some other tropical abundant zone to represent. So, Mayan. Those cheek bones and minimal eyebrows........ Still better than pale-as-plaster Fatality for once.
