In the number 41 issue of South Fur Lands, there was a story written by James L. Brandt titled "Midnight Rescue" that starred his Chakat characters "Snowdrifter" and "Silvertip," and introducing to me his "Rough around the edges Wolf Taur Tow Truck Driver named "KoVaulk." I was so taken with the idea of a vehicle designed expressly for centauroids, that I thought the best way to explore the concept was to "Build a model" of it.
Going by James' drawings, (As he's quite an accomplished artist in his own right." and the story descriptions, I "Kitbashed" the "Fleeter" Tow Truck KoValk drives in the story. Instead of using an expensive resin crew kab kit, I merely cut loose the cabin and doors from a Cadillac Escalade EXT kit, and shoved it three feet forward over the hood. I added two couch like "Tauroid" benches with back rests that retract up to the roof from the "B" columns, on either side of the "Dog House" over the engine. The space behind has a third fold down "Jump Seat" in the farthest back position. Of course KoValuk has a couple removable seats for "Anthropoid" customers that can be stowed away until needed. Although the truck's cab may seem "Roomy" to humans, it would be rather "Snug" for the likes of it's Wolf-taur driver and a couple soggy Chakats.
Special thanks to "Gearhead" for submitting his "Rat Rod" ideas in pencil, and inspiring me to give such a try.

A luxury tow-truck? Who sells them, Lamborghini or Maybach?
Don't laugh... Lamborghini participated in the competition to design a new utillity vehicle for the US, back in 1977. The winner was the Hummer. Lamborghini's submission was called the LM002. It looks rather like a sportier Humvee, but has a V12 engine right out of the Countach, and a top speed of 126 mph. Zero to sixty in 8.5 seconds! It may not have been able to stop RPG rounds without scratching up the paint job, but you could probably out run them.

You just did. I don't mind practical questions. The drawing presented is merely the pencil "Rough," and I agree there's still a few "Bugs" in the design that need working out. I will take the door handle placement into consideration. Shoot... I might just get rid of the double doors completely.
Double doors are a great idea. Just make them 70/30. Like the Saturn Sl1 or the Mazada Rx-7.
The driver's door big enough for the intended driver to use but not to big (weight for the driver to heft all the time, excessive wear and tear on the hinge) while leaving the back at least KINDA covered for bad weather or to keep anything back there dry(er) then otherwise would be. Maybe have the door swing upward like a sports car to allow easier access while offering a sort of "roof" for bad weather.

Veddy nice indeed! Another one for inspiration:

Shoot! Drat! Drat a frat's RAT! I wish I had seen this sooner! The "P-38" style cabin sitting well over the front wheels would be very practical for Centauroids. Not only would this make a great, futuristic looking vehicle, but it would also be based on an actual, historical vehicle! This would be a great model project too.
Or that the wolf in question doesn't own a small towing company, in which case it could be a newer or older vehicle in the fleet. Make sense for him to have 2+ vehicles for bigger/more complicated jobs. If you've ever watched the series 'Wrecked' you'll have seen such trucks and tactics in action. Hmm, wonder what kind of tow vehicle would be required to recover a Quange long-hauler?
