It makes no sense though because I wasn't really alive for that particular aesthetic. I was born in '89 and grew up mostly through the 90s and 2000s, and well the 90s were pure garbage with no real general aesthetic (except for maybe "Capitalist Realism" or "McMansion"), and the 2000s were nothing be edgelord nonsense. Then again, the new 10s and new 20s are just relying on nostalgia all the while creating nothing new.
