Looks like its also very well taken care of too. They are pretty iconic. I remember hearing about when they stopped production at the last plant in Brazil over safety vehicle concerns.
There is a shop up the road from where I live that works on old VW vehicles. There is usually a few Kombi's and 'bugs' parked outside. Oddly, seen only the occasional van driving around on the roads here. I know there is a big community here for old VW vehicles as I've been to a few of the yearly meet-ups and there is a local forum. Sadly, I missed the last few meets, then Covid hit.

Ya, I wonder how easy it is to restore a car down there to such a good condition as that. To be honest, I just want to drive a car, not worry about anything else. Too many places thinking we need all this extra tech thrown into newer cars. Makes it too much like a 'computer on wheels as it were'. Not always as easy or cheap to fix.
i fully agree with you
my car is a VW Voyage 2010, and excepting that is black *that is very bad when you live in a semi desert and rains dust, so is always "dark grey" instead black* have no trouble with that. is economic, very confy, with lot of capacity and works great
