i dont think abe is being mean towards basil in regards to her, as far as abe is concerned they are friends with benefits. not a actual couple and abe did try to make that point to her, but i think abe really does care for basil and feel an emotional connection with basil and wants to give them having a relationship a genuine chance.
ruby just chose to do this in the most devastating way possible to do as much damage as she can.....it kinda makes me think of lola from big mouth, dosant matter how minor the offense or slight that girl will destory peoples entire lives.

smh. And people always telling MEN to move on when a woman wants out of a relationship...yet woman are allowed stalk, harrass, beat, slap, kick, punch, and make our lives a living hell, when WE want to leave. Worse, society makes men feel ashamed and humiliated for not be "committed."
Basil's got some rough relationships, His best friend's boyfriend thinks he's a jerk because she only ever complains about him, and the guy he's dating is dismissive of him in private.
As much as I dislike the way Ruby is acting here, she raises a fair point that Abe is not being fully honest with Basil, and has said some pretty harsh things behind his back.
