The Inglorious Class Cruiser-Carrier was designed to fulfill the role of a cruiser sized carrier vessel to deploy swarms of starfighters without using significant amounts of tonnage when said tonnage would be better off elsewhere, the Inglorious in it's base configurations featured an array of point defense, anti-starfighter laser cannon turret, and a number of light turbolasers for warding off lighter vessels for defense but was woefully under armed when faced with heavier frigates and cruisers.
