Nov 18, 2042- Day 59

You know, there’s apparently a very big difference between getting dolled up and pampered while as a human versus what I had to deal with today. And far less enjoyable than even the attempt over a months ago of my friends helping to give me a makeover. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if part of it is that my attention span has decreased slightly as well as the fact that I have a lot more energy since I have lost a lot of weight.

But for pretty much the rest of the week I’m going to be poked and prodded by doctors. It’s one of the unfortunate and annoying aspects of what I’m dealing with and the conditions for having someone pay for everything for me since I soon won’t be able to. They hope that by studying me they can come up with better ideas on how to either reverse the process for those afflicted similarly down the line or at the very least stay in the same state as I am and be able to maintain their sense of self.

And as he wanted me to give as good of a showing, that meant a few hours with getting brushed rather thoroughly to make sure than any loose fur is removed, that everything is trimmed neat and proper, including my whiskers and everything. It made me feel more sympathy for all those show dogs that have to go through stuff like this all the time. I’m only happy I’m not turning into poodle now, because I don’t know if I’d be able to tolerate the indignity of that.
