I don't think Twitter is really that reliable for this either. At this point a telegram channel is safer. I know it's not the same, but it does the job. I'm trying to use it to replace Twitter.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Internet censorship is awful, along with losing digital memories that can never truly be replaced, and has happened to me as well.
