Fred doesn't just have issues, he has a whole archive of back-issues.
Initially, I was going to have her take his hand and draw him into another dance. Then I realized, "No, he'd hate that--wasn't she listening to him?"
So I was going to have her just kiss him.
Then I realized, "No, make it funny...!" And far more accurate.

I blame his mother, and maybe Crocutuan society at large. Not to say he isn't responsible for his own choices, but...
...sometimes, the world doesn't give you many decent choices. It's wisest to choose the lesser evil, but it's not wrong to wish there were better options to choose from. And I'm not sure Fred believes there are better options. Not for him.
Hope they can keep each other alive and make the world a better place. Someone needs to fix what's broken!
