Abe looks more frayed from the wisdom Basil is trying to give. I wonder if that means it's something he's already tried or something he hasn't considered? Either that or he's becoming aware of how high his ride is going.
Also, I know I'm reading too much into it, but I love the bottom of the page where the ferris wheel's frame is causing a divide between the 2 and having their body language reflect it. Abe looks so cornered with what the frame cut off, while Basil looks relaxed and has all the space but is making no effort to take it and seems to even be trying to give it.

That last bit is 100% intentional. I overthink literally every composition. Take for instance the bars in panel 1 show up more prominently to add conflict and disarray to the composition and fade into the background in the second panel to mitigate that conflict when Basil’s recollected.

i suppose it also intentional, that bayz's lips were all crinkly as he (with what can be described as a fair amount of magnanimity) offered his original advice regarding what route aubbie can pursue with ruby?

(i reckon, though, you'd be singing a different tune on the
matter if you knew what ruby's said about you, pig•goat bro) 
I do like how Basil is being mature about this; Abe was very upfront about needing multiple partners to satisfy his urges, and how his relationships ended from people being jealous. Plus Basil has shown a desire for an emotional connection over just sex (although that might have been nerves). That said, his naiveté is definitely showing with Ruby... but let's see if he's that wrong.
