I am a bit late on this, but still wanted to do this for my wife.
As we both finally finished Endwalker for FFXIV moments before going to the final dungeon and trial this moment of us standing before the end will always be remembered. Love ya hun!

Honestly, this is both one of the most depressing parts of the game and the most exciting.
To spoil it in as brief as possible: You and the Scions (a group that you join very early in the story of the game) go to the edge of the universe to stop an entity/being that is causing the end of your world (and potentially the universe as well), and through it you go through a dead world made up of memories of other worlds who have met their end on their own accord or by others. Basically, through even the deaths of those you grew close to in the game just to make your way to this very moment to end it all and save everyone at any cost you reach this point you have one more obstacle, in which you witness the death of several other worlds at the very moment they either died to disease, weapons, or just wishing for death to feel bliss.
But damn... what a fucking end this was!

Everything that lead to that moment in the game was just heartbreaking. And even when reaching the absolute horizon and finally finding a way to the nest we are all brought to 3 worlds at the brink of the end just to show us how pointless it all is... But damn... that ending was just amazing and beyond words imo!
