Got to plan and practice to take down the other cubs. I’m sure they will find it shocking.

Yeah that really doesn't help. As long as there are at least 2 cards in the grave Titan can stop its destruction, so sending the other cards to the grave just makes it harder to kill. Plus almost all my other monsters have a positive effect if destroyed. Bouncing them is the most effective way around it.
Yeah, cuz if you lose, then you're a scrub.
If you win, it doesn't count because your opponent was 7.
Worse yet, if your little kid opponent doesn't have the attention span/sophistication to understand the infinite combo you just won the game with. Ugh, the pain of it all.

Oh I've run into a few who were VERY good, I don't take anyone for granted. Not Austin Kulman level (who won the US Championship at 11) but still very good.
For the kids just starting out, I'd scout the event before it started and talk to them (with the parents permission of course) to give them tips, check their deck was legal, and tell them what to expect. The event organizers loved that I volunteered to do that and would send kids to me. If I got matched up with a kid, after after our match I'd offer to giving them feedback on their plays and deck. I got a lot of nice complements from the parents for that.

Aw, you so nice.
It's been a long time since I was in any kind of tournament. Super duper long time. Like 15-20 years ago. So I was a smartass teenager who doesn't help nobody.
The younger kids all knew the rules and were smartasses.
I always had more problems with older neck beards who didn't know the rules. Now I'm an older neckbeard who doesn't have any idea how newer deck archetypes work (but I still know the rules gawd dammit).

Master Duel is basically regular yugioh but I think it doesn't have a side deck and its one duel? Also the limits, bans and semi limit and unlimited cards are diferent from the tcg. Never played it surprisingly enough. Planning to but I have no idea what archetype do I want to do. Never own any irl cards, was intruiged by Cimo and it sent me down the rabbit hole.
There is a solo mode where you can play through different missions based on archetypes. Its fun and you get to learn the stories behind the themes (ex how the war between the Natura and Shadoll monsters released the Qliphorts). These can be played with decks supplied to you based on the theme or your own deck (you can play both and get different rewards for each).
Then there is a player vs player mode. These are best of 1 (no side decking). Since the game is global it uses a mix of the OCG and TCG ban lists. For example Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon is banned but Maxx "C" is legal.
Play through solo first and maybe you will find an archetype you like.
