A rare bit of info about myself, that I’m not proud of in the slightest**, but it helps explain this pic: I work at a gun manufacturer as the operator of a robot arm that paints all the parts of the thousands of death machines . Last night at work I painted one of my knives with the hard-as-metal Cerakote graphite black finish that normally coats ARs and 1911s/2011s barrels/receivers. Afterwards I did a bit of scrimshaw to make the mountainscape.

** Irl I do my best to evade the topic of where I work because it makes everyone who knows filter everything I say or do through that heavily politicized lens re: the controversiality that surrounds guns/gun ownership. I only work there because even though it’s only $15/hr, it’s the most I’ve ever been paid in my life after 17 years of work experience…with 4 types of insurance and retirement…I’m unfortunately never going to be able to leave the job either. I have no degree, 9 years of college with >3.5GPA, and I am only ever able to land minimum wage jobs. I’m well-traveled, well-versed, a veteran, thoroughly educated and experienced with all kinds of skilled, manual, clerical and administrative labor. I fucking hate this cunch. I have no opinion on guns. And that’s all I’m going to fucking say on the matter.
