did you use india ink/markers or did you burn it? Just curious as to how you went about that.

I recommend adding some feathers for flare or maybe a few well placed studs/rhynstones to add texture to the piece over all! It will be wonderful to see what you do next with this!

I used leather dyes.

Er and lol, I expected I'd get people asking for feathers.. xD If I take commissions for these I may add some, seeing feathers are pretty and all. I'll definitely try to do some better/more elaborate stuff in the future.

It does look like you burned it, till you mentioned leather dyes. But is it just dyes or some engraving going on a little?

Yeah, it was carved/tooled and then dyed. My attempts with leather burning have not been so effective.
