Peace for Ukraine

Art as therapy. Current events have been weighing heavily on me. So I painted this in support of embattled Ukraine, her people, her animals, her culture. Packed full of Ukrainian symbology I learned some new things and pulled them all together. Hoping things will improve there. "Peace for Ukraine "11x14 acrylic and ink on illustration board.

Beautiful work, Does anyone know f the Ukrainians have a favored Animal? I have thought of the Ukrainians as ingenious for choosing the sunflower. it means that a otherwise innocent picture of a field of sunflowers against a cloudless sky is their national colors. Slava Ukraini!
