There are most certainly better more detailed ways on how you can draw night skys
this is how i do it.

you can use this to add in an easy background behind your character your drawing, maybe put your character in front of the moon to make them the center of attention
maybe you can use this as a starting point to make a more detailed night sky
Or maybe you can even just ignore this all together
