He grew up. He realized that the studio was not going to cover for his antics anymore. He pulled one prank too many and was arrested... hard. Dot and Wakko were forced to turn their backs on him to stay int eh studio's good graces. Burned and abandoned, Yakko has been wandering the world causing trouble that would make terrorists cringe.
"Why so serious? Because comedy is a business and I have bills to pay. NOW LAUGH!"

Yakko: *smoking a cigarette while a group of demons form in front of him* Heh. *grinds. The cigarette into the demon he already has in a headlock, then breaks its neck, pwning the rest of them with super soakers, then a hammer, and finally home-runs a car into them with a guitar*

Man, I about cried when I saw that trailer... Then I did some research on it and relaxed a bit. I was very skeptical about everyone's favorite asshole devil being turned into some British punk-demon, but I'm glad to know it's some "alternate Dante."
