The cover of the limited edition collection of my pre-internet scribblings.
In making this archaeological dig, I've discovered numerous goodies that haven't been seen by a lot of people. Some of it with fairly good reason, but with the commentary this should be a great deal of fun. Other observations I've made:
1) Every now and again I'd come across some drawing I did for some early member of the SCFA/Yerf/Yiffnet IRC channel who has long since vanished into the ether. Furries come and furries go, I suppose, but it's weird how these pictures are like forgotten extras in the back of old photographs. Who did I draw that for? I may never know.
2) Guys, if you thought I drew feet big NOW....
3) It's a bit weird that Rochelle is on the cover of this book since she doesn't figure in any of this stuff (obviously). However, I came across some early Rochelle concept sketches, and wow, did that concept change. I'll be including that even though it isn't "Pre-Internet", just for completion.
4) There's a whole mess of early 1997 Gene Catlow-me drawing exchanges I'd like to include, but I have to get the cat's permission himself. It's definitely a good prelude to the beginning of Newshounds' web presence.
5) I realized I will have to spice up a lot of this with commentary. The October 30 date holds, but I may want to see a copy myself first before sending everyone else's out. So if it's delayed a week or two, don't panic. I will keep everyone updated.
Also, if you're on the fence about ordering this, here's an incentive: everyone's copy will be personalized with their own thank-you page. I can't sign them personally because they'll be coming directly from Lulu, but how cool is it having a page that's done just for you? Plus, let's not forget, this is going to be a massively limited edition. I'm being a real hardass about that even to my friends, so you're getting something unique for your money.
