My Nan recently passed away so in memory of her i've done a painting of an owl as it was her favourite animal. The Owl represents herself and the hands represent her being set free.

She loved to bake cakes, chat, do puzzles and knitting. When she was younger she spent some time packing parachutes for the war and later she went on to bake cakes for the W.I market and made many friends there. She and my Grampy raised four children on their farm together. Although she was diabetic, she loved her cakes.

She will always live on in my memories. I will always think of her when ever I eat some cake xx
