Just an update, in case anyone stumbles upon this post in the future: The GoFundMe went really well, and met its goal! She was able to buy her plane tickets asap and made it safely to Canada :)

Hey all, a few of you may have heard of this already, but a member of our community needs our help. I’ve been helping   The.Fool fundraise so she can get to safety.

There’s more info in her journals or in the gofundme post, but the tldr version: She’s from Ukraine, and currently staying in the Czech Republic with family who are trying to kick her out. She needs funding for plane tickets to Canada, where she plans to stay with her sister.

Since gofundme can’t pay out to Ukrainian accounts, I’m acting as an intermediary and transferring everything over to her via paypal. I’ve also got us a donor who has agreed to match the first $1000 in donations, so your money goes farther.

We can negotiate details - donate your time or I can pay. YCH will be auctioned at a higher price with all proceeds going to the gofundme.
