I had no idea what to title it. Enjoy my fail French. :D
Ending my hiatus by posting commission I finished for
setheus awhile back. <3 He was super-patient and I think this turned out really nice because of it.
Birds of paradise are extremely difficult flowers to draw... but attempting to draw hydrangea is making me miss these, for sure. Lol~ D: Darn flowers and their.... petals. >_>

Thank you!
I either use default low opacity flow airbrush (I think that's what it is?), and also ones from Cornershop's LJ and damie_m's journal somewhere. I also get Photoshop Magazine which has some nice brushes, but I use them pretty sparingly. :P

It so beautiful! The background, the foreground, the everything!
A lot of artists humanize their reptiles to the point where they're just humans with scales and claws... but you managed to retain the primeval essence that shows their feral side without being violent. I could honestly believe this species exists and isn't just some human/whatever crossbreed. Bravo on your skill!

Wauuugh this is amazing! You have such a great sense of colour; you know exactly which areas need to be punched up with a bright accent colour without overdoing it, and you know exactly how to render shadows without making things muddy... I love the creamy texture in the background too. This is just really impressive all around. :)
...You're drawing hydrangeas? What kind of masochist are you?
I so love the feel and flow of this, the way the features are so distinct but still so harmonious. The composition is beautiful, but for one thing...The tail is very distracting where it cuts out of the picture, it sort of breaks the track of the eye? When said eye is not focused on the orgasmic riot of lushicious, verdant colour, oh my god~

D: I know. It's like drawing 100 flowers at once.
Thanks for the feedback. <3 (It worked in my sketch, but of course that never seems to translate over to the finished version, amirite?) Since it's a commission there really isn't much I can do on it, but I'll keep that in mind for next time. c:

angle of couch opposing angle of ground surface = FLOATING COUCH! 8D (trace a line down the head/arm rest then compare it to the line of the ground at the background <3) that isn't what a 2 point perspective means <3 (can be fixed in like 2 minutes by shifting the surface plane at the back there <3)
but all personal silliness aside <3 really wonderful detail. I love how yellow appears more like a cool colour tone to me and the saturation and the way you've thrown the detail down in the background with fractual lighting showing a high humidity <3 well done if that was intended. The air looks very thick indeed.

Thanks very much for your imput. :) I'll edit it if I have the time and drive to do so, but at the least I'll keep this in mind for future projects. My lack of artistic education is probably showing through right now, haha. XD
And thank you~ Hazy was what I was going for, so I'm glad it looks like that. :D

This is so awesome! You are one of my favorite artists here!
But...can i ask someting? How much it took to you - to finish this? I usually so self-destructive-critic to myself when it means "picture with background". I really want to know how much good quality background and coloring takes.

The obviously extensive work that went into this resulted in something magnificent. I know that there is a multitude of proper terms to use in describing how this came to completion, but since I couldn't draw to save my life, I'll never know what they are.
This is beautiful sir.
I can never fathom how people make such beautiful works as these...
