My part of a ACEO trade with Inku-Inku on dA. :)
She was a sweetheart and ended up doing two beautiful cards for me, so I had to return the favor. <3 Hope she likes them~ (it's the same character, just with a summer/winter coat)
And... I must say, trying out an actual light source with copics and pencil is challenging. >> I have a lot of respect for artists who can actually manipulate traditional media without making it look like fail.
I'm encouraged try harder with gouache/acrylic and find a combination that works well for me... markers are a bit harder to control and aren't exactly analogous to digital. XD

Actually, it scares the bageezus out of me too... but it seems like once I get down and do it, it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Doesn't mean I don't need to practice moreeeee, but I think if you just put stuff down on paper you'd be surprised at what you can do. :D
Within the next couple of weeks I wanted to try a bigger acrylic/gouache painting (some other artists gave me tips I want to use), but I'm apprehensive for the same reasons you are. XD (I just need to suck it up and go for it)
