A sketch that I randomly did last night on my old black sketchbook and then finished today with a little bit of revamped worldbuilding. Before anybody asks, no, this was not made in response to a certain war.
Infantry used by the Aruhyne Federation and the Trihyzuun Coalition.
Aruhyne Soldier
• Professional soldiers of the Aruhyne Federation and its territories, highly skilled and able to hold their own but notoriously often restricted to tactics similar to those used by 19th century human empires, making up for their tactical deficiencies through powerful magicks. Their armor and equipment is magickally enhanced to be lightweight and sturdy enough to survive impacts at 4791 m/s and temperatures of 8908 K but are notoriously difficult to maintain in the field, requiring specialists either accompanying soldiers or back in bases though sections of armor can be replaced on the field during emergencies.
• Aruhyne Soldiers are armed with the Selica Guiran plasma caster which fires powerful plasma bolts at a temperature of 7190 K with a secondary firing mode resulting in accurate, near-instantaneous target surface detonation, making it also a favorite amongst marksmen and sharpshooters. Despite its strengths, the Guiran is hampered by a slow fire rate and its secondary firing mode is highly susceptible to obstructions which may result in dangerous close-range detonations.
Trihyzuun Warrior
• Skilled warriors of the Trihyzuun Coalition and its territories, highly adept in many fields of combat and very proficient in stealth but hampered by having weaker magick than their Aruhyne counterparts, making up for it through magick-technology fusions and being highly adaptable to far more hostile environments. Their armor and equipment uses magickally enhanced, self-healing nanotube plating that makes them highly resistant to impacts at 7419 m/s and temperatures of 6719 K with the advantage of being relatively easy to perform basic maintenance on even without specialists or bases.
• Trihyzuun Warriors are armed with the notoriously reliable Kashtubo H145 plasma caster which fires plasma bolts at temperatures of 2460 K at a high rate of fire with a secondary "scattergun" mode that fires a burst of at least twelve projectiles, making it popular amongst standard infantry and close combat units. Despite its strengths, the weaker projectiles fired by the H145 necessitates focused, accurate fire and firing in bursts is highly recommended as the weapon is fairly inaccurate.
