Yes, I know. Hux is becoming more and more anthro, isn't he? This one comes after last year's "Cirque Du Stomp" picture which played on a similar pose. Don't blame me - blame
giran for putting the whole 'non-anthro elephant stomping along on two feet' thing into my head. The crush fan in me finds something so drool-inducingly appealing about a creature that, being so heavy as to require four feet, can then consciously choose to increase the pressure of its weight by rearing up onto its hind feet. Yes. I'm sorry. That's just how my brain works.
This was enjoyable in some ways but a real pain in the arse in others. The drawing process seemed to flow quite nicely on this occasion, which is bloody rare for me, but I'll admit it was still tricky to draw. Having a cumbersome creature like an elephant standing on one leg and then trying to visualise that from underneath is not exactly easy! The background was more of a pain than I thought it would be too, and I must admit I rushed it a bit after a while. For whatever reason I had a particular style of lighting in mind for this, trying to make it look like they were in the shade of the cliffside. The trouble is this proved to be really problematic when trying to get the sky right on the second angle! I'm still not 100% happy with it but it's good enough for me.
Anyway, hope someone finds this whole concept as appealing as I do (I know at least one person who will ) and hope I'm not disappointing anybody too much with my lack of art these days. I'll be posting a new journal about recent developments soon, so watch this space.

rip.. to be honest i hate the words "u should do that blablabla".. but ur art about that lovely, inocent elephants (being big is not thier faults isnt it?) sooooo good, i realy wanted to see the ending here.. we can do a trade too.. i can finish "faster" my last rex on girl animation for example :) so as i said i hate just asking ppl to do something for free..

As everybody can see, this art is awesome! The concept, the wonderful unusual character, his size comparated to his little victim, his chubby belly and body, the perspective...
