The culmination of everything I've done with pixelart. I started it some time late last year or early this year. I've been working on it intermittently ever since, with breaks both short and long. Only recently did I kick myself into overdrive and say "I need to get this finished".
I'm not sure how to feel. I've been working on it so long that I'm not really able to accept that it's done...
I asked for and received a lot of critique from a friend (who's furry art you can find over at
fallbringer). Critique is amazingly helpful when embarking on something like this, especially when so spend so much time looking at the same little piece of screen.
It's got a bit a everything that kind of defines me as an artist. Pixel art, a furry character, and a lot of blues and greens in the palette. I stick to using a lot of traditional pixelling methods. You can find dithering (both ordered and irregular), anti-aliasing, and self-imposed color restrictions throughout.
Final Specs:
Total Time - Over 100 hours through many, many months.
Total Colors - 21, no transparency
Canvas Size - 360 x 280 (at original size)
It's posted at 2x its original size here on FA and back on DA. You can find the WIP animation here, which contains a frame for just about every time I saved the darn thing: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....eFerretWIP.gif
(Man, I wish the process of creating it went as fast as that WIP makes it look)

Wow. I missed the streams where you were working on this, so I hadn't seen any version of this before this point... And just, wow. I'm completely blown away. This would be pretty awesome, period -- but considering the restrictions you were working under, this thing is goddamn amazing.
And now, I'm promptly going to break my 'only music as favorites' rule. :3
