Serhat: We may be an Islamic country, but we prohibit wearing apparel associated with Islam in government buildings and public schools too. Turkish women are forbidden from wearing the headscarf in these occupations as they are associated with Islam. Just like what Ataturk wanted, our government workers are in business suits, both men and women.
Zax: Our government workers are typically in business suits, but there are exceptions. American local government workers can wear casual style uniforms in an office setting, but that's up to the discretion of their policies. Remember, American government workers tend to have more leeway and unlike in Turkey, they can choose to wear apparel with religious affiliation or not.
Serhat: Most of our private companies strictly ban the wearing of religious apparel at the workplace but few do make exception in the name of freedom of speech. Remember, Ataturk wanted Turkey to be more like Europe because at the time to this day, we see Europe as the future of society. It's our way forward so we copy their general ways. At one point in Turkey, which is no longer legally enforced, Ataturk mandated that every male human must be clean shaven to be more like their European counterparts. Today, that's considered a personal preference.
Chuong: Many of my friends are agnostic and I had no idea they bother Levon.

Levon: They do bother me, Chuong. They bother me more so than those who are atheist.
Super C: Is it because they're apathetic about it?
Levon: In a way, yes; they claim they both do not believe and do not disbelieve in God. You're one or the other, but not both.
Super C: Yet another double standard. There's too many of those in this world today.

Chuong: When I talk about Christianity, I reference God with a capital G so people understand that I'm speaking of Him in the context of Christianity. Oh yeah I use the traditional male pronouns with a capital H because it's a Christian tradition. But as you already know, I'm Buddhist and most of the Vietnamese Christian minorities in my country are actually Catholics because we used to be a French colony and that's how the French introduced some of us to Christianity is through Catholicism, the majority religion of France.
Zax: In America, the majority branch of Christianity is Protestantism because we used to be an English colony and the majority religion of England is Protestantism.
