A re-imagining on Hero Forge of my OC, His Exalted Highness, King Ross II of the planet Ratatat, also known as the superhero Regal Rat. I went ahead and gave him the king's crown, but also played ingots and a bag full of gold coins and jewels. This represents that of the four living Forsythian monarchs, King Ross is actually the wealthiest, with Forbes magazine translating the Ratatatian currency into US dollars and estimating it at about $32.5 billion. (The other monarchs rank as follows: King Leo V of Kriegland is worth about $29.1 billion, followed by King Lionel XVIII of Leonine at $24.8 billion, and King Lacklund of 1776 brings up the rear at just $8 billion, but he's not bothered by it. "It's not how much you have that counts; it's what you do with it," he said.)

Unlike the feline monarchs, who are percussionists, King Ross is primarily a saxophonist, and plays a little bit of classical guitar as well. He does not take percussion for granted, though, and he likes the brass and drum fanfares that play when he enters a room. He also has experience as a conductor of bands and orchestras, and as a military drum major.

For years, records destroyed by the Golbarkan pirates have prevented him from knowing the royal family surname, but thanks to the C.I.D.F. (Caticonian Intergalactic Defense Force) and their efforts, he has discovered it to be Danube. "That's better than what it could have been," he commented, "but I'm a G-52, so I am not taking any chances by making a joke about what it could have been. You're all smart people; you can figure it out. It's sad King Leo's royal family surname is Bourbon, because drinking meant you got the death penalty on Kreigland. That's not the case with Ratatat, but then again, we rats just weren't interested in alcohol."

King Ross's crowning achievement of his career was the victory in the Golbarkan wars, and awarding the planet's top general, Roger J. Raticus (Snare Soldier), the status of a 5-star general, as well as hailing him a sir of the highest honors.

His superhero name, Regal Rat, was taken from a snare drum solo written by Snare Soldier in his honor.

His suit-and-tie combination are made up of his favorite colors, navy blue and silver. The flag of Ratatat, however, does not contain navy blue; it is brown, black, and white.
