Long and short, it is based on a character in an RPG campaign set in the anthro superhero world of my planned animated universe. You know, build up some background lore, get some of the actors who are players involved with the world's feel, generally see how people work it, etc. And one of said (non-actor) players, the commissioner in question, wanted me to do one that... I can't believe I didn't make before. His character's mother, the reason his character became a superhero; she was the slave-turned-wife of a mad gangster-turned-cultist called the King who wanted to raise a perfect heir to rule the city after him, but she always tried to instead teach him compassion and love and to never abuse his phenomenal strength. She was killed after trying to finally run away with him and has since been the driving force for that hero to band with the other players' characters to topple the King and save the city. And I legit never thought about what she looked like until he paid for the pic. I got to try some old techniques, new techniques, and, well, it turned out so beautifully I just had to share it.
