Ryo the Samurai Lion is Leo the Patriotic Lion's Japanese counterpart, seen here in his armor with a sword in hand, with a setting sun in the background (or rising sun depending on how you look at it). In his original heyday, he was one of the most respected samurai of any samurai, human or furry, and upon coming to the real world in today's era (thanks to CNG time warping all the parallels), he has continued to fight for peace in this world while dealing with all the things about his home country that would drive American Christians insane. (Indeed, Ryo has called the pop culture of his own nation "unbiblical," but there's nothing he can do to change it unless it shuts down forever.)
Here's the bio:
Ryo the Samurai Lion Bio (Updated)
Name: Ryo the Samurai Lion
Real Name: Ryo Mizushima
Nationality: Japanese
Occupation: Samurai
Time Period of Birth: Edo Period
Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan
Clothing: Ryo is always seen with his katana sword but he is often seen wearing a dark blue kimono, dark blue samurai armor, or dark red samurai armor. In highly dangerous missions, he can be seen wearing a high-tech version of a silver samurai armor and his sword is high-tech too where his blade is electric as it is sharp. Ryo occasionally wears his respective samurai helmet in battle though. However, he always wears his hachimaki or Japanese national headband but when wearing his high tech armor, he wears a high-tech hachimaki with two antenna rods rods behind it.
Superpower: Ryo is very fast and agile and is capable of deflecting weapon projectiles in all directions with his sword, and his super hearing allows him to detect incoming weapons.
Interests: Japanese art, technology, Japanese literature, culinary arts, etc.
Personality: Generally strict but somewhat open to new ideas from foreigners.
Languages Spoken: Japanese and English
Bio Notes: Along with the other parallels, he disappeared for a time after the Rio 2016 Olympics (as a result of Leo losing his temper when the Mongolians lost a bronze medal wrestling match and protested by taking their clothes off). Upon his return, Japan welcomed him back with open arms, and he gave an apology to his people for leaving them abruptly. He then engaged in traditional Japanese festivals, and an ensemble of taiko drumming wolves honored him with a special show.
Ryo is also personal friends with Kōhei Uchimura, considered to be the greatest male gymnast the human race has ever produced, and he sent Uchimura a special congratulations upon the gymnasts' victories at the Olympics and other championships. (The greatest female human gymnast is Simone Biles from the USA. On the animal side, the greatest female gymnast is the USA's Julie Styles, and the greatest male gymnast is Britain's Andy Percy.)
Ryo hails from the Edo Period of Japan's history, where the shogun had national authority.

Chuong: Japan's history is also unbiblical as well. Japanese folklore on ghosts and demons anyone? What about Masakado Taira, who was one of the most bloodthirsty samurai in history? Not to mention, possibly part-demon?
Zax: And of course, a good number of Japanese horror movies are based on such folklore. The Ring is an example.
Kang-Dae: And today, Korean horror movies involving zombies are rising in popularity. Our portrayal of zombies are even more horrifying. They're faster, more aggressive, more graphic, and they come in swarms.
Zax: So basically it's Astroworld but instead of rabid fans, you got zombies in place. That's similar to today's video games on zombies.

Ryo: And you thought you had troubles.
Leo: I say that to my people a lot. If you think you have it bad, it might help to take a look at the rest of the world and see how they're doing. How you deal with it is remarkable.
Ryo: Well, I do have to set a good example.
Super C: Ever wish you could go back to your own time period?
Ryo: It might be tempting to do so sometimes, but the past wasn't better. Some folks just think it was. Why do you ask?
Super C: Just doing a test.
Ryo: Oh.
Super C: I ding my recruits with demerits if they dwell on the past, or make statements about how the past was better when it wasn't.
Ryo: I see.
